Wearing Hats
Wearing hats and helmets does not cause hair loss, unless the hat or helmet is worn so tight that it cuts off circulation to the follicles. Hats can actually contribute positively by preventing sunburn.
Hair Cuts
Cutting your hair will not cause your hair to grow thicker or faster. It will only appear thicker because the base of the hair is thicker than the tip, so shorter hair (closer to the base) appears thicker.
Blow Drying
Frequent blow-drying will not cause hair to fall out. It will however cause hair to become brittle and prone to breakage.
Racial Background
Race is irrelevant. Hair loss affects all ethnicities. It neither decreases nor increases a person's chance of experiencing hereditary hair loss.
Genetic Causes
Ashley & Martin have proven that genetic hair loss can be treated if arrested early.
Over-washing
It is normal to notice more hair loss in the shower however, soap and water does not cause hair to fall out.
